Bloomberg's Mark Gilbert looked at the 'personality' of various firms, and matched them with who he thought they were most like on the pop star front. Our readers have come up with a few more suggestions:

ABN Amro - The Drifters

Both parties have gone through several line-up changes (restructures) over the years.

Bank of America - Garth Brooks

Both come from the southern United States, are overweight, and not particularly big in Europe.

BNP Paribas - John Hallyday

Both hit big at home, but neither are particularly well known outside France.

CSFB - Jakob Dylan & The Wallflowers

Both were embarrassments to their 'parents' (Bob Dylan and First Boston)

DrKW - Def Leppard

Firm subjected to a large lawsuit in the US for alleged bad boy behaviour, not unlike a touring heavy metal band. Def Leppard's drummer lost an arm in an accident (recent management changes at DrKW - Pisker, Bellotti - not unlike an amputation). Key members of the firm's current senior management team wear goatee beards. Flocks of New York staffers now seen sporting similar goatees, not unlike Def Leppard roadies.

DrKW - Slip Knot

Jefferies & Co - Bruce Springsteen

The hardest working firm on Wall Street, with the most passion, the most down to earth people, and the strongest desire to never let their clients (fans) down.

Royal Bank of Scotland - The Proclaimers

Both are Scottish through and through, deeply unfashionable, but strangely addictive.
