Detailed below is a brief note of why each person hit the headlines in 2006:
Ray Ducharme - The Bank of America bond trader who was seriously injured when he was gored by a cow while holidaying in Spain earlier this year. Ducharme was one of hundreds who were chasing cows, which weighted hundreds of pounds, round a bull ring, trying to pull their tails and ears.
Roger Duronio - The former UBS US-based IT systems administrator who, after being upset about his 2001 bonus, quit the firm and installed a 'logic bomb' in the IT system. He also bet $25,000 that the UBS share price would fall when news leaked about the ensuing IT chaos. Although the effects of the 'bomb' cost millions of dollars to put right, the UBS share price held firm. Duronio lost his $25,000. Worse, he was fingered for the crime, and now faces up to 8 years in clink.
Renato Malzoni Filho - The Merrill Lynch Brazilian private banker who was filmed having a sexual encounter with an MTV host/beauty on a beach on Spain's southern coast.
Lucy Gao - The Citigroup intern who kept us all amused in the summer with her e-mail Ritz birthday party invite.
Helen Green - The former member of Deutsche Bank's company secretariat team in London who claimed that she was bullied by female work colleagues. One is said to have even suggested that Ms Green stunk. She sued - and was awarded $1.5m.
Gregory Halley - The former JP Morgan Chase banker who allegedly stole more than $100m in cheques from the bank 'lock-up' facility where he worked. He was arrested as he left the 'office' in April, and had 40 cheques, worth some $4m, stuffed in his socks.
Brian Hunter - The ex-Amaranth trader who is said have made that $6bn losing bet on the gas markets.
Ken Lay - The former Enron CEO who, when found guilty of Enron-related crimes, died to avoid going to prison.
Rob Mueller - The owner of the 'adult entertainment' site who lost his battle to retain ownership of the domain name www.goldmansex.com. Rob is now in a legal spat with the Wall Street firm over the right to use the www.goldmensex.com domain.
Laura Mulgrew - Former wife of Gary Mulgrew, one of the so-called 'NatWest' 3. Laura was interviewed by The Mail On Sunday earlier this year, and had several pops at her husband, including - 'Everything about Gary was a sham. He was able to persuade people, including me, about things that didn't properly exist'.
Aleksey Vayner - The investment banking wannabee with the 11 page cv and supporting 'Impossible Is Nothing Video' that he sent to UBS.
Mimi Monica Wong - The HSBC private banker who paid $15.4m for lifetime dancing lessons from a 15-time world Latin dance champion and her husband. Angry that the husband humiliated her in front of other dancers, Ms Wong sued and won the return of the $7.7m upfront payment she paid to the couple.
