And all the rage of trading rooms was a video of a Merrill Lynch banker having a s.xual encounter on the beach with the former girlfriend of Brazilian football star Ronaldo. The video, which showed Merrill Brazilian private banker Renato Malzoni Filho, 33, making out with 27-year-old MTV host Daniella Cicarelli, was being viewed so many times that it is said to have crashed computers on trading floors in both Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
The video was apparently shot by a member of the paparazzo, and ended up on YouTube, Internet Group do Brasil and Globo.com, until the websites were forced to take it down following the granting of an injunction. The judge who granted the injunction told Bloomberg that 'the video doesn't serve the public interest, and it doesn't respect the couple's privacy'.
The video is said to begin with the couple kissing on a beach in the resort town of Tarifa, on Spain's Southern coast. Filho, in a 'green, tight Speedo-type swimming brief' and Ms Cicarelli, wearing a 'string bikini', then enter the ocean and 'engage in a range of se.ual acts'.
A spokesperson for Merrill has said that the firm 'doesn't comment on the personal lives of its employees, especially when they are on vacation'.
