Your views continue to come in on the subject of 'bonuses to the poor'. Northern Ireland Minister Peter Hain 'suggested' that wealthy-off City bankers might like to give up to two-thirds of their wad to charity - or face increased taxation and / or a harsher regulatory climate.

Here are some of your latest postings:

'Two-thirds ? Why stop there ? Take the lot. After a while I'll be able to register as a homeless person, receive 'charity' - and probably make more money doing nothing than I did working my nuts off !'.

'If Mr Hain could point me in the direction of a charity that is able to pull British troops out of Iraq, crack down on crime, build more prisons and stop bogus asylum seekers from abusing our benefits system, I would be happy to donate a larger slice of my bonus to it'.

'Big buck bankers already give more than enough of their hard-earned dosh to the taxman. I suggest Mr Hain speaks to the Treasury about redirecting some more funds to the poor. We are already over-taxed (income tax, national insurance, council tax, VAT, stamp duties, death duties, congestion charges, parking fees, etc) - the government needs to look at how they spend all this money before thinking of stupid ways to raise yet more revenue, which will doubtless also be wasted'.

'What is this government doing with all the tax revenues (stealth and otherwise) that it raises ? Perhaps we should have big-bonus bankers running the country (rather than just paying for it) - then we might not be in such a mess!'.

'This country would be better served if the likes of Mr Hain thought about taking a more sensible approach to the vast tax revenues the government already receives - instead of coming up with ridiculous policies in an attempt to 'buy' votes from chavs and their like'.
