32 teams representing recruitment firms and investment banks will fight it out for the right to be crowned Here Is The City's 2008 5-A-Side Champions. The tournament will take place on the evening of Wednesday 28th May 2008 at the Beckham Academy in Docklands (The Academy is the largest indoor soccer facility in Europe).
The 8-person teams will consist of both members of staff and clients / candidates, so the event will be a good way to both bond internally and get closer to those who help generate revenue. Each team will get a minimum 3 games, with the teams making the final playing 5 times. There will be a 'Plate' for the teams finishing in second place in their mini-league. Every team will also get 20 free tickets for spectators, and we will also put £5,000 behind the bar for light refreshments and snacks. Price on application.

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS
Please make sure your team/s arrives at the David Beckham Academy by 5.45pm on Wednesday 28th May. The full address is East Parkside, Greenwich Peninsula, London SE10 0JF The nearest Tube station is North Greenwich (3 minutes walk). The DBA is next to the O2 Centre (formally the Millennium Dome). On arrival the team Captain should make himself known to one of the Here Is The City team. Parking is relatively easy.
DRESS
All teams must wear the same tops or football shirts. Ideally, shorts will also all be the same. The name of the team should be displayed on the back or front of the shirt. If we don't yet have the name of your team please email me as soon as possible. Football boots or trainers must be worn at all times on the pitches.
TEAM PHOTOS
Team photographs will commence at 6pm. They will be available to download from Friday 30th May from www.stevedunlop.com and a selection will appear on the HITC website www.hereisthecity.com from Monday 2nd June.
MATCH PAIRINGS
On arrival you will be given your match pairings and games for the evening. Companies that have submitted more than one team will not be matched against each other.
TIMING
Games begin at 7pm and will end at around 9.30pm. The Cup and Shield presentations will be made 15 minutes after the final game. The winners will have Winners Photographs with the 'Celebrity Legend' who will present the prizes.
5-A-SIDE FORMAT
A team is up to eight players of which five play at any one time. The length of the game is eight minutes with a change of ends at 'half time'. There is no offside rule. The referee's decision is final and he/she will send off any player deemed to be playing dangerously. Substitutes may be brought on at any time.
BUFFET
There is a complimentary buffet and non-alcoholic drinks available to all players and spectators. Complimentary water is available on the pitch and all players are encouraged to ensure they drink as much as possible.
SPECTATOR TICKETS
Each team will be sent 20 spectator tickets shortly. If you require more please let us know. If you require less please also let us know as other teams may require more. If you are not playing but would still like spectator tickets please email richard.tobias@hereisthecity.com
