1. 'I hate to burst his bubble, but tell the poor chap that long hours, stress and those dreadful energy-sapping office politics are everywhere these days'.
2. 'I got laid off last November too. My firm was going down the drain and I was given money to go. It was, however, quite traumatic emotionally. After 13 years in investment banking, I now work out of sector. It's all about getting the job done now, rather than fighting over territory. I'm so glad I got out!'.
