32-year-old Dan Hill was said to be earning $160,000-a-year working at UBS when he decided to change career and become a chippie (carpenter). All did not go well at first, however.

Soon after relocating to Wales and starting life making top-of-the-range furniture for discerning clients, Dan started to come out in a red itchy rash - he found he was allergic to the dust from wood shavings! Our intrepid hero had a rethink, however, and found that he could carry on carpentering if he used African  hardwood, which he isn't allergic too. Seems you can keep a good woody down!

Reuters reports that SocGen rogue trader Jerome Kerviel's got himself a new job. Kerviel has been working with Paris-based computing firm LCA since the start of April. The former trader is currently out on bail, has been ordered to keep away from trading floors and needs to report to the police once-a-week.

Finally, The New York Times reports that Morgan Stanley is being sued by the estate of The Godfather of Soul, James (Number One Soul Brother) Brown. The firm stands accused of failing to stop the estate's previous manager draining millions of assets from Brown's account (only Living in America!). Morgan Stanley says that it will fight the lawsuit.
