This Awards is designed to acknowledge best practice in Graduate Recruitment and Development, and recognises the impact and importance of the strategic and tactical execution of a firm's graduate process.
Stage One of the poll was easy. Firms simply needed to generate sufficient votes from existing graduates, former graduates or line managers involved in the process to qualify for assessment by the team at Graduate Solutions, led by former Deutsche Bank Graduate Head, Viv Dykstra. Viv and her team will then review the online marketing / recruitment capability of each qualifying company, and then come up with a shortlist of 6 firms.
Here's a note of the firms which qualified for the next stage:
Bank of America GCIB Graduate ProgramBarclays Capital
Barclays Wealth
Fortis Merchant Banking Associate Programme
JPMorgan
Lehman Brothers Corporate Generalist Graduate Program
Merrill Lynch
Morgan Stanley
Nomura International
Schroders
State Street Global Markets
UBS Investment Bank's 'Explore' Program
Stage Two. The shortlisted companies will now be invited to complete a brief submission which will deal (not exclusively) with issues like headline statistics, commitment and involvement of management, validation of candidate profile and competencies, robustness of selection and assessment processes and the ongoing development and retention of on-boarded graduates. Each submission will be judged by a panel of respected industry experts.
