Uzair Bawany, Group Managing Director at Contact Recruitment, has launced the firm's first ever interactive Vidcast.

Bawany explains why the vidcast is already attracting positive feedback: 'The opportunity to present our market intelligence in this new and compelling format came as a result of a meeting with the pioneering company Person on Web who specialise in creating vidcasts which are loaded directly onto the site with no need to download the content!  I had been thinking about ways to reach clients, candidates and the wider market to open debate about the economic outlook and more specifically the employment sector and this was the perfect opportunity for me to literally talk in person to people'.

Bawany continued: 'The recruitment sector is often seen as bell weather stock in which market changes are seen before they reach other sectors and it felt important to have a source of information for people to refer to.  In the vidcast I talk about the year retrospectively and also how I see it panning out in the coming months; this year has seen a cautious but positive approach by companies in the UK market, with many companies restructuring hiring plans and using cash reserves to seek new talent - so there are still plenty of opportunities for the right candidates'.
