Was it really just a year ago when that Merrill Lynch dumping banker story was doing the rounds ? You remember, the guy who was based in the World Financial Center building who, angry that his fixed income 'colleagues' has screwed up his 2007 bonus, went to the restroom, did the business, trod in it and walked it all over the trading room on the 19th floor ?
Oh, life was so simple then - when there were such things as bonuses, and there was such a firm as Merrill Lynch.
