The banker was last seen alive one week ago, and police became concerned for his safety after they learned that two of Boumeester's shotguns were also missing, his mobile phone had lost its signal and all credit card activity on his accounts had stopped.
Mr Boumeester's body is thought to have been in the woods for some days. A police spokesperson said: 'Police are currently at the scene of an unexplained death. They discovered the body of a man who is believed to have died from shotgun wounds'.
Sadly, the banker leaves behind a wife and two children.
In the meantime, Swiss newspaper Sonntag reported over the weekend that UBS could pay as much as $4.62bn to settle that US tax evasion probe. The bank is accused of complicity, as thousands of clients used UBS services to allegedly hide assets from the IRS.
Finally, The Evening Standard reports that there will be no more reward for failure over at Royal Bank of Scotland, as, under the terms of new CEO Stephen Hester's employment contract, he will get a big fat doughnut in the event that he is fired for under-performance.
