Here's a quick note of what some of the leading players in the Lehman saga are doing 12 months after the fall of the firm.

Ben Bernanke

Chairman of the Federal Reserve, just been nominated by US President Barack Obama for a second 4-year term.

George W Bush

The former US President returned to his native Texas in February, to take a breather, do some business and write his memoirs.

Erin Callan

Lehman CFO for a short period before the bankruptcy, Ms Callan joined Credit Suisse in July, 2008, but left a few months later for personal reasons. She has now effectively gone to ground.

Bob Diamond, President, Barclays Bank & CEO, Barclays Capital

Still basking in the glory of picking up Lehman's best assets and people at a knock-down price. The true winner out of the Lehman debacle.

Richard Fuld - former Lehman CEO

Fuld has kept his head down during the last 12 months, although he did make a high-profile appearance before a Congressional Oversight Committee, during which he expressed regret for what had happened.

He has also founded Matrix Advisors, a corporate advisory firm. Fuld is thought to have lost $1bn of his personal wealth because of Lehman's bankruptcy, and has been named in around 40 investor lawsuits.

Tim Geithner

President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Geithner is currently US Treasury Secretary. Got off to a dodgy start over tax irregularities, the jury is still out on Geithner, who many feel was at least partially to blame for the financial crisis, and who has been light on specifics since he became Treasury Secretary.

Joe Gregory

Fuld's long-time No 2 was forced out 3 months before Lehman filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Gregory made the headlines again recently, as he has filed a $233m claim against Lehman's bankruptcy estate to recover deferred stock compensation.

Hank Paulson

The former Goldman CEO was Treasury Secretary at the time of Lehman's bankruptcy. Paulson is busy writing his memoirs. Many feel that the 63-year-old has one last big Wall Street job left in him.
