Poschinger-Camphausen was last seen alive on Thursday afternoon, and was reported missing by his wife that afternoon. He joined EQT last year from Morgan Stanley, where he worked in Frankfurt.
Police have made three arrests. One theory is that the men who have been arrested may have met with the banker and tried to steal his Audi A8 sedan, which Poschinger-Camphausen had advertised for sale on the internet at $77,000, as he was preparing for a move to the US. The car was discovered near to where the banker's body was found.
Finally, Nancy Kissel, the so-called 'milkshake murderer', launched her final appeal in Hong Kong last week against the life sentence she received in 2005 for the murder, two years before, of her husband Robert, who was a senior Merrill Lynch investment banker. Mrs Kissel, 45, laced her husband's milkshake, killing him by hitting him on the head with a heavy ornament. She initially wrapped his body up in a carpet and had it dumped in the basement, later going to the police and confessing what she had done.
Mrs Kissel has always claimed in mitigation that she was in an abusive relationship.
