Macquarie's David Kiely, the client investment manager who was seen on live TV opening up photos on his work PC monitor of a scantily-dressed Miranda Kerr, the Australian supermodel, is to keep his job.

The decision to keep Kiely on the payroll will be generally applauded by the public, as it is in tune with their views on the matter.

We asked our readers what they thought Macquarie should do about Dave, and here's the result of our poll. Over 3,650 people took part.

Only 4.1% of respondents said that they thought Dave should have got fired

22.9% said that he should be bought a drink because of all the stick he was getting

28.7% said that he should be patted on the back as he has single-handedly put Macquarie Bank on the map.

44.3% said that he should get a gentle slap on the wrist, but keep his job.
