...Credit Suisse's James Goodfellow, who walked off with a cheque for £1,000 for his troubles.

The crowd at the awards reception, held  at sponsor Badenoch & Clark's London offices, saw James crowned our official 2008 'Rising Star', after he initially won the Dividends / Corporate Actions category.

Rising Star judges Steve Sedgwick of CNBC Europe, Nigel Gordon-Johnson of Badenoch & Clark, and Ian Brown of Here Is The City, all highlighted the quality of the nominees put forward. They were, however, impressed by James' work both within his team, and on the diversity and graduate recruitment initiatives he worked on at Credit Suisse. James put his success down to the support he received from firm management and his corporate actions colleagues.
