City Professional Among Top 40 Power Players In HR

Stephen Sidebottom, HR Director at Nomura International, is among Personnel Today's UK 'Top 40 Power Players in HR' again this year, rising 12 places in the list, coming in at number 25.

Sidebottom, ex-Dresdner Kleinwort and Commerzbank, has had his work cut out recently helping to transition across the thousands of staff that came to Nomura with the deal that last month saw the Japanese bank acquire a substantial part of Lehman's European businesses. Nomura International's Head of HR is also chairman of City HR, the association for HR professionals in financial markets / services.

The Top 5 in the Personnel Today list were:

1. David Fairhurst - Chief people Officer (Northern Europe), McDonalds

2. Martin Tiplady - HR Director, Metropolitan Police

3. Clare Chapman - Workforce Director-General, Department of Health

4. Imelda Walsh - HR Director, Sainsbury's

5. Caroline Waters - Director of People & Policy, BT
