Reader Comments

1. 'Looks like the poll was hijacked by Manchester United fans! Cantona was a good player, and I'm not one of those who automatically hates him simply because he went across the Pennines, but in no way has he earned the 'greatest ever' tag, particularly over and above the likes of Bremner, Charles or Radebe'.

2. 'John Charles and Billy Bremner were clearly the best players in our history, and several more came in ahead of Cantona'.

3. 'Reminds me of all those Labour Party haters who stayed at home the last three election days - it's no good moaning about a poll vote if you didn't take the opportunity to influence the outcome when you had the chance!'.

4. 'I guess it depends on if you are looking for the greatest player ever to have wore a Leeds shirt. In that case, it might well be Cantona. If, however, you are looking for the player who performed the best during their stint at Leeds, it's clearly Bremner or John Charles'.
