For the past week Here Is The City has been running a Job Satisfaction poll with the Recruitment and HR services group Blomfield to find out how happy staff in the financial markets really are, the results make interesting reading.
The poll will still be run for a couple of weeks yet, but we thought it would be worth publishing some interim results for IT. Overall it looks good, the IT sector posting a 61.4% 'job satisfaction' rating, with respondents saying they were either 'satisfied' or 'very satisifed' with their jobs.

Job Satisfaction - Who Are The Happiest Bankers ?
The breakdown for each rating is as follows:
- 30.1% of respondents feel 'very satisfied' with their jobs
- 31.3% are 'satisfied'
- 20.5% feel 'neutral'
- 18.1% say they 'hate their jobs'
The top firms for IT 'job satisfaction' are:
- Bank of America - 94.3% of respondents are either 'satisifed' or 'very satisfied' with their jobs
- UBS - 77.4%
- DrKW - 64.3%
