Looking for the latest on Zidane's headbutt in the World Cup Final? Watch where you click! Click here to find out how the incident was reported around the world.
I guess you clicked then? The latest advice offered by Websense Security Labs is don't. The online security monitor has found one website, daubed as the official FIFA World Cup 2006 site, instead of delivering the latest footy news it delivers a rather nasty bout of trojan horses and malicious software.
The lead story on the US hosted website asks the question "What did Materazzi say to Zidane?", referring to the incident towards the end of the World Cup Final where Zidane earned himself an early bath by head butting Italian defender, Marco Materazzi, square in the chest.
The website uses the, widely available, Web Attacker Toolkit. When visiting the fake site users are exposed to code that attempts to install one of five different variants of the trojan depending on the browser being used to view the site. The trojan, once installed, then downloads additional malicious software from the same site, this potentially happens without user interaction.
For those still keen on Zidane / Materazzi action, here's some spoof clips suggesting how the incident may have been reported by various national news organisations.
